Anxiety Therapy

What is Anxiety?
Anxiety is a natural response to stress, but when it becomes consntant or overwhelming, it can take over far more of your life than it should. You might recognize:
- Persistent worry that´s hard to switch off
- Racing or repetitive thoughts
- Physical symptoms: racing heart, tight chest, or trouble sleeping
- Feeling on edge, restless, or exhausted for no clear reason
If anxiety is shaping your decisions, your relationships, or your day-to-day life, you don´t have to manage it alone. Support can help you understand wha´s driving it and build a different relationship with it.

    Relationship Anxiety

    - Persistent worry about a partner´s feelings, commitment, or faithfulness, even without evidence of a problem
    - Needing frequent reassurance
Overanalyzing texts, tone or small interactions
    -Anxious/Avoidant/ Secure Attachement
    - Fear of abandonment or being "too much"
    - Difficulty trusting positive moments in the relationship, expecting things to go wrong
Fact: Relationship anxiety often has less to do with the relationship itself and more to do with underlying patterns around trust or self-worth — which is why it can show up across different relationships, not just one.

    Transition-related anxiety

    - Heightened worry or overwhelm during major life changes (moving, new job, relationship changes, becoming a parent)
    - Difficulty sleeping or concentrating during the transition period
    - A sense of loss of control or identity during the change
    - Physical tension or restlessness tied to uncertainty about "whats next"
Fact: Even positive changes — a new job, a move you wanted, a relationship milestone — can trigger significant anxiety, since the nervous system often responds to change itself, not just negative events. Transition-related anxiety therapy

Fact: Phobias are one of the most treatable anxiety presentations, often responding well to structured, gradual exposure approaches within a relatively short treatment timeframe.

    - Excessive distress when anticipating or experiencing separation from a specific person (partner, parent, child)
    - Persistent worry about something bad happening to that person, or to yourself, while apart
    - Reluctance to be alone, travel, or be away from that person
    - Physical symptoms (nausea, headaches) around anticipated separations
Fact: Separation anxiety isn't only a childhood experience, it's recognized as a valid diagnosis in adults too, and can show up strongly in long-term relationships or with adult children living away from home.

    How I help

Warm, evidence based, and entirely yours.

My approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), one of the most well-researched methods for treating anxiety.

Alongside CBT, I draw on mindfulness and grounding techniques to help you reconnect with the present moment when anxious thoughts start to spiral, and a collaborative, non-judgmental approach that treats you as the expert on your own experience, not a diagnosis to be managed. The goal isn't just to feel calmer in the short term, but to build a lasting, different relationship with anxiety, so it no longer dictates your decisions, your relationships, or how you show up in your life.

Together, we start by understanding your anxiety on its own terms: what triggers it, how it shows up in your body, and the thought patterns that keep it going. From there, we work on practical, evidence-based tools you can actually use, not just in session, but in the middle of a stressful workday, before a difficult conversation, or in the moments panic starts to rise.
