Anxiety can come in all types of forms, here are some signs you may need or want therapy * listing a few facts, not all, reach out for more information please
-Excessive worry thats hard to control, often about several areas of life (work, health, relationship, finances, school, university, etc)
-Fatigue, restlesness, difficulty concentrating, muscle tension, sleep problems (trouble falling or staying asleep)
Fact: It builds gradually, some individuals have it as a "trait" of always worrying, before realizing its become something they may need support with.
Generalized Anxiety Therapy
-Intense fear of being judged, embarrassed, or humiliated in social situations
-Fatigue, restlesness, difficulty concentrating, muscle tension, sleep problems (trouble falling or staying asleep)
-Avoiding gatherings, meetings, or speaking up in groups
- Overanalyzing conversations or interactions afterward
- Physical symptoms in social settings: blushing, sweating, trembling, rapid heartbeat
Fact: Social anxiety often shows up in specific situations, public speaking, meeting new people, or being uncomfortable with people you already know.
Social Anxiety Therapy
-Sudden, intense episodes of fear that peak within minutes
- Racing heart or heart palpitations
- Shortness of breath or feeling like you can't get enough air
- Chest tightness or pain
- Dizziness, lightheadedness, or feeling faint
- A sense of unreality or detachment from surroundings
- Fear of losing control or "going crazy"
Fact: Panic attacks can start without obvious triggers, which often leads to secondary anxiety, fear of having another attacck, which can become distressing in itself.
Panic Attack Therapy
- Persistent worry about a partner´s feelings, commitment, or faithfulness, even without evidence of a problem
- Needing frequent reassurance
Overanalyzing texts, tone or small interactions
-Anxious/Avoidant/ Secure Attachement
- Fear of abandonment or being "too much"
- Difficulty trusting positive moments in the relationship, expecting things to go wrong
Fact: Relationship anxiety often has less to do with the relationship itself and more to do with underlying patterns around trust or self-worth — which is why it can show up across different relationships, not just one.
Relationship Anxiety Therapy
- Heightened worry or overwhelm during major life changes (moving, new job, relationship changes, becoming a parent)
- Difficulty sleeping or concentrating during the transition period
- A sense of loss of control or identity during the change
- Physical tension or restlessness tied to uncertainty about "whats next"
Fact: Even positive changes — a new job, a move you wanted, a relationship milestone — can trigger significant anxiety, since the nervous system often responds to change itself, not just negative events.
Transition-related anxiety therapy
- Intense fear of a particular object or situation (heights, flying, needles, vomiting, certain animals)
- Physical panic-like symptoms when confronted with the feared object/situation
- Active avoidance of the trigger, sometimes shaping daily decisions around it
- wareness that the fear is disproportionate to actual danger, but difficulty controlling the reaction
Fact: Phobias are one of the most treatable anxiety presentations, often responding well to structured, gradual exposure approaches within a relatively short treatment timeframe.
Phobia Therapy
- Excessive distress when anticipating or experiencing separation from a specific person (partner, parent, child)
- Persistent worry about something bad happening to that person, or to yourself, while apart
- Reluctance to be alone, travel, or be away from that person
- Physical symptoms (nausea, headaches) around anticipated separations
Fact: Separation anxiety isn't only a childhood experience, it's recognized as a valid diagnosis in adults too, and can show up strongly in long-term relationships or with adult children living away from home.

My approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), one of the most well-researched methods for treating anxiety.
After scheduling your slot or reaching out, look out for a confirmation email from Lara. It will include your preferred therapy meeting link and everything you need to know. Have questions? Ask away, or we'll chat at our session!
Going into your first session might feel excited or even anxious and scared, and that is entirely okay. There is no right or wrong way to "do" therapy, and you don’t need to have everything figured out before we meet. Come exactly as you are; we will take it one gentle step at a time.
No two individuals walk the same path. Lara takes the time to listen to your story, your thoughts, worries, doubts and hopes and find a path to help you and achieve your goals again, with a mixture of CBT, mindfulness, grounding techniques and anything that may help you.
As your journey continues, sessions evolve with your progress, there is no limit or set number of sessions you have to commit to. Healing is not linear, we move at your pace, and you decide how long our collaborative journey lasts. You can stop, pause, or continue whenever it feels right for you.
